Meet our Dekon Projects Team
National Higher Diploma
Ross Petersen has been at the helm of Dekon Projects since 2014.
He serves on the Executive Council of the Master Builders Association in the Western Cape, as well as on the organisation’s Contract and Legal Committee.
Ross joined Dekon in 1995 as a Contracts Manager, taking over the management of our Cape Town branch on the retirement of founding partner, Kevin Hodgson, 2006.
His early career was spent as a student surveyor at Walter Simpson Du Toit Quantity Surveyors, and as a contract surveyor at WJM. The years after this he spent gaining valuable life experience, travelling and working around the world, before returning home to continue his chosen career.
Ross is a family man who is in his element in nature, and especially the ocean. When he is not spending time with his family, he can be found either kitesurfing or paddle boarding.
Annelien Baretti has held the position of Finance Manager at Dekon Projects since 2016.
She has a long history with our company, joining the financial head office in Port Elizabeth in 2005. Annelien’s career in accounting first began at a private education institution in 1999. Her experience in this challenging and stimulating environment cemented, for her, the wish to grow her career in finance. She was later promoted to the role of Faculty Manager for the Computer School and Degree Campus of the private institution.
In 2007, Annelien enrolled in part-time studies through the University of South Africa, and she achieved the fulfilment of her bachelor of commerce degree in 2013. She left Dekon for a short while to pursue an appointment as the Finance and Human Resources Manager at the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber. It was our good fortune to welcome her back as Accountant in 2014, and to promote her into her current position in 2016.
Annelien’s young family is her top priority, and she strives to spend quality time with her husband and two children, building happy family memories.

He is the current President of the Executive Council for the Eastern Cape Master Builders Association. Hilton serves as a councilor representing the employers on the East London Building Industry Bargaining Council, and he also represents the Master Builders Association on the Joint Practice Committee.
Hilton cut his construction industry teeth working as a student contracts manager at Dekon Projects during his studies. He joined Dekon Projects full time in 2005 as the East London branch manager.
An athletic competitor, Hilton enjoys the outdoors. He has completed an IronMan competition, and run the gruelling Comrades Marathon.

He took this step after joining Dekon Projects in 2013 as a Contracts Manager. In this role, Dane successfully completed various projects at Mercedes Benz South Africa, and was closely involved in the launch of the Land Rover/Jaguar showroom in East London.
An enthusiastic motorsports competitor, Dane spends his leisure time working on his racing car and taking part in motorsport events. He enjoys playing cricket, and values quality family time over all else.

Gareth Wall stepped into the role of managing our Cape Town branch in 2014, after joining Dekon Projects in 2004 as a Contracts Manager.
